Crochet Crop Top

This crochet design is inspired by a FashionNova crop top.

I used Alize Diva Stretch, a fingering weight yarn. It is a combination of 8% elastic and 92% microfiber acrylic. 

The recommended hook size is 1mm to 3mm but for this project I used a 3.5mm hook.

I like this yarn for very close-fitting clothing project as it hugs the curve of the body caused by the yarn elasticity. It is ideal as well for making swimwear as it doesn’t hold that much water so it is not heavy when it gets wet underwater.

Crochet this easy open heart appliqué for your projects. Easy to make that you can do it in less than 5 minutes! Follow the written pattern instructions below on how to make it.

MATERIALS

Yarn and hook of your choice.

US TERMS

Crochet Abbreviations

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

sl st - slip stitch

yo - yarn over

cont - continue

st - stitch/es

Special Stitches

4dc cluster - ** yarn over, insert hook in the ch, yo, pull yarn, yo, pull thru 2 loops, again yo, insert hook in ch, yo, pull yarn, pull thru 2 loops, you now have 3 loops around the hook. Skip 2 st, repeat ** once you finished 4dc, there should be 5 loops around the hook, yo and pull thru 5 loops.

PATTERN

16ch then insert hook in blo of 16th ch, yo and pull yarn, yo pull thru 2 loops. Cont, 15ch then sl st to very first 1st chain. 

2ch, 8dc (start dc at the very first ch where you did a sl st)

Note that you have to insert hook in lower loop of the chain for the following stitches.

(dc2tog) 5 times,

4dc cluster,

(dc2tog) 5 times,

8dc, sl st in top of 2ch. 

Then fasten off! Now, you can sew or attach it to your project!

Crochet Celtic Knot Granny Square

Celtic knots are complete loops that have no start or finish and could be said to represent eternity whether this means loyalty, faith, friendship or love.

This granny square motif can be used for throw pillow cover, a blanket or throw.

You can use any yarn and hook of your choice. 

But for the tutorial I used Alize Diva which is a fingering weight yarn and a 2mm hook.
